About

History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again.

Maya Angelou

At Reframing History, the mission is to illustrate how every period in history has interesting stories with lessons and outcomes that still have influence today. We redefine history beyond mundane names and dates, highlighting its vibrant connection to everyday life. Through unique narratives, we weave the thread of history into the fabric of culture, examining both flaws and triumphs within society both past and present.

A common sentiment that floats about is that history is boring. Obviously, Reframing History does not subscribe to such thought. Rather, we are here to fight back against it. It may be true that the way history is taught in certain schools makes learning history hard, unrewarding work instead of fun and useful. Memorizing names and dates became soo emphasized that many students are unable to understand the tragedies and triumphs of our predecessors.

The entertainment industry has somehow subverted the widely held belief that the past is boring. When a true story is told the same way as a fictional masterpiece, it has the ability to captivate a wider audience beyond just history buffs. Reframing History is here to examine the intersection of entertainment and history, providing insight and further analysis of the broader historical topics.

In essence, our purpose is to revitalize history, making it accessible, engaging, and profoundly relevant. Together, we’ll uncover the vibrant threads that form the rich tapestry of our culture, celebrating the stories that shape our world, both past and present. Join us as we reimagine history’s role in our lives and embark on a journey of discovery, reflection, and connection.
